| Born on 29th September 1977 in Luxembourg- City, Michel grew up in the tiny village Blumenthal (Oh sweet Flower Valley, forever yours…) situated on the “East Coast” of Luxembourg. His music career began at the age of 8 years, when he started to visit the “Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg” to have piano lessons, but after three hard years, the authority and the strictness of that institution had suffocated his motivation to play music and deeply damaged his creativity, at that point, that he couldn’t imagine to get in touch with any instrument again. His philosophy has always been not to copy one to one the works of other musicians and composers, but to play the music he wanted to play, the music that comes straight from the heart and touches you deep inside, by taking you through beautiful soundscapes, awaking your senses and letting you slip away in a world that’s painted in bright lightly colours. It’s all about reflecting feelings that were buried for a long time in the depths of one’s soul and wait to be liberated, just by turning the inside out by the medium music. With that ideology in mind, he bought in 1993 his first electric guitar, and entered a new dimension in sound experience and self-expression. He learned playing guitar very quickly (basic chords and all that stuff…) and he felt some kind of addiction to that instrument, which gave him the opportunity to reach the aims of his ideology: create something beautiful that was able to move and touch people from all around, using the only international language that is music. After a few experiences in several High-School bands, he became finally in 1995 guitarist Luxembourg’s very popular Rap’n Roll-Crossover band “Fluyd” (www.fluyd.lu), where he was active member until summer 2006 and played lead guitar on their three albums “Swarm” (1999), “Mind your mind” (2001) and “Magma” (2005) During that period of time he did some jobs with other bands, such as Low Density Corporation, Mister Diggler,… and some recording jobs as well. His playing style is on the one hand characterized by psychedelic and effect loaded space sounds, on the other by hard and grooving rhythm works, building consequently up to devastating solo sounds. Since 2007 he joined “Real Time Spinners” and looks forward to a bright and smiling music career… |
